MAKE A DONATION
We have a wide variety of ways to make a donation to Joyful Transitions PDX! We not only take physical donations of chest binders and packers at request but we community fundraise on Paypal, as well as our fundraising campaigns on Bonfire and Teespring! We deeply appreciate all of our donors, big or small. When you donate to us, you can even use your receipt to write it off on your taxes!

1
SOCIAL MEDIA VOLUNTEER
Our Social Media volunteers help us spread material outreach over our Instagram, Facebook, Patreon, and Ko-fi with scheduled posts and interactions with the public. They also analyze trans and queer-friendly posts to retweet/post on our page!
2
APPLICATION REVIEW VOLUNTEER
Our Application Review Volunteers review our material applications for chest binders, packers, gaffs, and educational books, push those with the most need to the front of the line, and email clients about their outreach material and other transitional needs. They also give priority to people of color for our resources.

OUTREACH AND PEER ADVOCACY VOLUNTEER
Our Outreach and Peer Advocacy volunteers are our one on one engagement people. They refer our clients to valuable resources for transition, mental health, shelter resources, and listen if they need a friend.
They also can advocate in these settings if those who seek our services need it. Such as advocating by calling a medical office for someone, by connecting them to larger organizations with more resources, or connecting them directly with a resource by being a bridge to that resource.

All volunteers are given extensive coaching and support through their endeavor with Joyful Transitions PDX. This is done by your preferred contact methods, as well as extensive training materials that we provide as guidance for these positions.
We will work with high school schedules, college schedules, and work schedules.
All Volunteers also get a complimentary trans joy t-shirt and pronoun button!
Volunteer Spotlight:

Hi! I am Mx. Eclipse Addams (no pronouns). I am a queer, nonbinary, pagan, polyamorous soul who has been living in the Portland area since 2018. I live in an all-queer, all-trans collective household and have a dog named Donut. When not sleeping or working around the house, you can find me watching true crime videos on YouTube, getting wish fulfillment by playing Stardew Valley, and trying new things in the kitchen. I hope to someday live in and help run a queer collective homestead and raise chickens, goats, and children.
Hi! My name is Masako (Moss is acceptable too) and my pronouns are They/Them/Theirs. I’m TransMasc Non-Binary, Pansexual, Japanese American, Pagan, 33 years old, and disabled and chronically ill. I live with my Non-Binary spouse and our adorable cat. I spend a lot of my time watching movies, playing video games, and crafting my fiberart. I also like spending as much time outside as I possibly can - even better if it’s at the coast.
